Lots of Grosh users have requested to bring back auto-sync into the app, so we’re adding this as default in Grosh 4.1.1 that is sent out today.
From Grosh 4, list syncing works a bit differently. In the past, it synced all the time, for even the smallest change on a list. In Grosh version 4, if modifications exist, they are batched together and sent to the server as a whole. The change significantly reduces network traffic and speeds up the app. The change also makes it possible to use the app when you are completely without network coverage, e.g. in an underground grocery store.
However, besides batching updates we also introduced the concept of manually controlled sync. Many users have not been aware of this change, which meant that newly added items might not be seen by someone gone shopping. To fix this, we’ve added an auto-sync setting that is turned on by default in Grosh 4.1.1.
The release also has a couple of other small bug fixes.
Kind regards
The Grosh Team
