We’ve been busy building an integration with the Fromto wish list app for Amazon. The first step was to easily link something on your list to a specific item on a website. Obviously, the next step was to an easy way to submit your list items to a webshop. To begin with, we’ve taken the world’s biggest online store, Amazon. At the same time, Fromto gets face facelift of the user interface. To learn more, read more about Fromto 2.0 below.
Why do website lookup?
You can now link an item to a website. For a wish list, this means the recipient can now easily indicate where to get your wish and this makes it much easier for shoppers to get the right item.
Search for your wish
When you add a wish you add a name to the wish, and optionally you may also indicate which store it is available at.
If you’ve selected a store and the app know how to search the website of that store, then it will do so when tapping search on the item details page. Otherwise it will search the store defined by default for your wish list – which is Amazon.
Under list settings, you can tap the heart symbol to choose another webshop as default store. Feel free to send us suggestions of stores that can be searched and you think are relevant to integrate with.
Choosing the right link
To add a link to the item on a webshop, press the search icon next to the item name on the item details form. This brings up a page listing the matches found at the chosen website. Navigate the website and find the right product, then tap “Store link” at the bottom of the page to save the exact link into Fromto.
Prerequisites for submitting to Amazon
In order to submit your wish list to Amazon, the items must be linked to an Amazon page and store set to Amazon (happens automatically when linking using the search function). Once you have that, a Checkout button appears at the bottom of the wish list.
