You can scan a barcode to add an item to the list. The app crowdsources product information, the barcode might be unknown to the system. If so, please help yourself and other users by entering the item name and brand. This includes entering the product name and as a minimum the brand, as barcodes are unique to each and every brand of a particular product, like corn flakes.
If several product sizes exist for the brand, you should also include the package size and unit, e.g. corn flakes might have brand “Kellogg’s” and package size 750 g.
You can use bar codes with the various list types e.g. wish list, stock list or shopping list.
