Yes, you may add non-food items into the Other category or create a separate non-grocery shopping list. After doing that toggle off “Use categories” under Settings (click the list to change its properties).
Why does the app sort the grocery list when i am at home?
When users mark items as purchased, the system tries to learn the sequence of categories in the store – and after a while the app starts to order the shopping list according to this order. However, if you mark groceries as bought at home (maybe because you forgot to do it in the store), Grosh may think your home is a grocery store and start sorting the list.
When you are at home, it’s more efficient to just have the list in alphabetical order. A sort (up/down arrow) is shown top right on the list screen that allows you to select the store to sort the list for. Just tap the Home button top right to skip sorting for this location.
PS There is also another way to fix this, set the location for at least one previously performed “shopping trip” made at the location of your home and mark it as “not a shop”.
To do this, just go to the green history screen and tap a “shopping trip” made at home. Then tap the info icon top right. This will bring up location details for the trip (showing a map) and allow you to select “not a shop” in the list of shops just below the map.
Why does the app not sort my grocery list?
When users shop in a store, the system learns the sequence of categories in the store – corresponding to sections or ailes in the store. After a while the app starts to order the shopping list according to this order. When a number of shopping trips have been performed at a location, the app will show a sorting icon in the bar at the top, just right of the shopping list name. Click it to select the name of the store, and then presto – the list is ordered! The more times users shop in the store, the better the sorting gets.
PS You can also set the location for previously performed shopping trips by going to the history and tapping the trip and then the info icon top right – this will bring up location details for the trip that allow you to change e.g. the store.
PPS If you mark a location as “not a store” on the trip information, the list will no longer be sorted on that location. So if you don’t get your shopping list sorted, go the “History” tab and look for a “house” icon placed on a trip. If you happened to mark a trip as “not a store” by mistake, just open up the trip and select the store name to remove the “home” marking.
Can I create my own categories?
Yes, you’re able to add and hide categories – pretty much like you do with stores. This is done under Settings, tap the Adapt button next to categories. You can also hide categories you don’t need here – just swipe them. You may only delete categories you’ve created.
I forgot my password, what do i do?
On the login screen, press “Forgotten password”, enter your email and we will send you an e-mail with a link to reset your password. Through this link, you can choose a new password.
