All items on the red suggestion list, the orange current grocery list, and the green history list can be opened to display item details and buttons to move items between the three states (suggestion, current, history). Moving the items can also be done using gestures as short cuts directly from the list. Swipe left to move an item to the screen to the left or swipe right to move the item to the screen to the right.
How do accept an invitation to join a shopping list?
If you’re new to Grosh, just download the app and tap “Got invitation code?” on the last intro screen. This will take you to the Settings screen in the app, which lets you enter your name, email and the invitation code. Note that the code is only valid for 48 hours, after that your friend needs to re-invite you.
If you are already using Grosh, tap Menu-Select list and tap the + button to enter the invitation code.
How do I share a shopping list?
You may use a shopping list for personal use, share it with your family, with friends or work colleagues to coordinate shopping. Here’s how you do it:
- Tap Sharing in the menu. This shows the sharing screen for the currently selected list, listing who has currently access.
- Then tap + to share the list to new person(s).
- Choose either to send a copy of the list, or share it online.
- Then press send email or send SMS, then your email or SMS program opens up.
- Depending on what you choose, Grosh either generates a message with the contents of your current list or a message which includes an invitation code.
- In the mail or SMS program, fill in recipients and send the message – the invite code is valid for 48 hours and can be used by multiple persons.
- The invited person(s) can enter the the invitation code at signup or later on when adding a new list (Menu-Select list-Add).
Note: only the creator of a list can delete it. Others may just leave it, not delete it. Anyone with access to the list can share it to others. Everyone can see who has access to the list using the Sharing menu item. You can un-share a list by left swiping a user on the Sharing list.
How do I add a list?
Grosh lets you have multiple lists. Just create a new one under Settings or by tapping + on the Select list screen.
Note: If you happened to create one list too many, then tap the list name under Settings and choose Delete. When deleting lists, you’ll irreversably lose all contents.
How does undo work?
Sometimes you happen to swipe the wrong item whilst you are shopping. No problem, in Grosh the grocery item stays in the list until you swipe the next one or leave the shopping list screen, giving you time to undo the action after the mistake. A bought item is marked with a green bar to the left and with strike-through font. To undo, just right swipe the item again (just like you did when marking it as purchased). That will mark the item orange again and with normal font.
PS If you want to undo multiple purchases, 2 finger swipe to the green screen and tap the grocery trip you want to modify. Then left swipe the items you want to move back to the grocery list.
