Yes, if you’ve previously logged into your account using an iOS or Android device, our servers will remember that you’ve got a Premium account and let you use all Premium features in the web app that do not depend on phone sensors (even though you cannot perform in-app purchases in the web app).
How many people does the Premium subscription cover?
We’re using in-app purchase technology provided by Apple and Google to manage payments.
These payments are tied to an Apple or Google account and covers all devices where you’re logged into Appstore or Google Play using that account. If you’ve got several Apple or Google accounts in use in your household, then you may want to purchase additional Grosh subscriptions.
How do I create a bookmark to a recipe?
There are 3 ways to bookmark a recipe in Grosh:
- If you’ve found a good recipe on the Internet
- Best way is to use our Chrome plugin to store it in Grosh
- Or open a new tab in your browser with our webapp, tap Menu-Meals and the + button on the Recipes tab. A form appears and then paste the website link into the Source field. Grosh fetches the page and extract a title, image, and inserts the url in the Source field. An image available on the webpage is shown, but you may change this by tapping on the image to cycle through the available images for the recipe. You may enter any other relevant information for the recipe into Grosh. If the recipe site vanishes, you’ll always be able to see the information you’ve added in Grosh.
- If you’ve found a good recipe using recipe search inside Grosh, a “Bookmark recipe” button is available at the bottom of the recipe. Press this to store a link to the recipe in your own recipe list.
- If you’ve received a Grosh recipe link eg via mail or social media, just press the link. You web browser will start (and may request you to login to Grosh if you haven’t done so for a while). After this, the recipe will be shown with the same “Bookmark recipe” button for creating a shortcut to the recipe in your own recipe list.
Note: To remove a recipe bookmark, tap it on your recipe list, then choose Remove from the … menu on the recipe screen. This will remove the bookmarked recipe from your list, but not from lists owned by other users in the system.
Should I add identical items to the stock list?
When adding new items to a stock list, a separate line is added even though the same grocery was already on stock. This is by design, as the other item has previously been added and thus has a separate stock date.
However, if the stock dates are really close, you could open one item and increase it’s quantity and remove the other identical items. Doing so will make the stock list shorter and easer to get an overview of. Also when removing from stock, the app can just decrement the item quantity.
Note: Use barcodes whenever possible to add or remove stock items – this makes it much faster and less error prone to bring the list up-to-date.
What does the date mean on my stock list items?
The date you specify for an item in a stock list indicates when the item was added to the stock. By default, Grosh will assign the current date to the field when adding new items. However, you can modify the date using the date picker in the item details screen. This could be done to set a date in the past when the item was actually put in stock.
In future versions, we’ll add further functions to the stock date, but for now the app highlights items in red on the suggestion screen with a date that is 6 months or older.
